Cat. #00321112: JOE SAWYER

Scarce vintage inscribed blue fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch off-white card, acquired in-person by inveterate autograph hound John Virzi in the 1960s and decorated with a small Players' Directory image. In good condition. Tough-as-nails character actor Joe Sawyer's countless credits included supporting roles in the horror, sci-fi and fantasy films Air Hawks (1935), The Walking Dead (1936) and It Came from Outer Space (1956), and, elsewhere, Confessions of a Nazi Spy (1939), Sabotage (1939), The Grapes of Wrath (1940), Sergeant York (1941), Gilda (1946) and The Killing (1956).
